A Light for the Nations
April 30, 2010
?“A Light for the Nations” - Isaiah 49:6b
Missions Conference week is my favorite week of the year. Not because we are missionaries, but because I believe if revival is going to come to a church - it’s going to come during the Missions Conference. Missions is the heartbeat of God and if I am able to accomplish one thing (outside of winning souls for my Saviour) I pray that I am able to instill the importance of giving to World Missions to the people that God has placed under my leadership.
I want them to pray and give and go, so that others can have the same opportunity that we’ve been given. It is my earnest desire that Faith Bible Baptist Church of Aguascalientes and her ministries have a mission’s heart.
Bro. Bill Wall from Chihuahua, Mexico was our special speaker this year. Bro. Wall has been used by God to plant both Spanish-speaking and German-speaking churches in Mexico. He is always a blessing to both our family and our ministry when he is here. This year was no exception.
Throughout the week we held soul winning during the morning. Six folks accepted Christ as their Saviour as a result of the soul winning times or the church services! The Lord also blessed with several families visiting the services throughout the week. A tremendous blessing was that three young men surrendered to the mission field! One of those young men was our thirteen-year-old son, Timothy. Another was Bro. Rafa’s son, Josaphat. The third young man was Jesús (Chuy) whose father, Bro. Andrés, is studying in the Institute.
The church commitment for the 2010 Faith Promise Missions year is $1,600 pesos per week!
“Building on the Rock”
The theme for our ministries this year is “Building on the Rock”. We believe that our ministry will reach new heights this year. It is our goal to turn our main work over to national leadership during the church’s 10th Anniversary Week in August. Please be in prayer for us, Bro. Rafa, and his wife, Yadira.
Please also continue to pray with us concerning our recent break-ins. The church is struggling financially due to the need to repair and replace the items that were either damaged or stolen. God is good and we know He will continue to provide in wonderful ways. We appreciate your prayers and your faithful support of our ministry.
