Furlough News

The Lord has been good to the Copeland Family! Lindsey's surgery was successful! Her tonsils and adenoids were removed - her adenoids were blocking 85% of her nasal passage! They had planned to scrape scar tissue from her trachea, but they didn't have to as her airway was completely open! Her doctor was very pleased with her progress. Her post-op appointment on June 6th will let us know of any future procedures the doctor deems necessary. Thank you for praying for her!

March and April were busy months for us as we were in back-to-back conferences and meetings in the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia and Pennsylvania! The Lord blessed with several churches taking us on for new support and meeting some special needs. In May, we will be finishing up with our schedule and packing our trailer in preparation for returning to Mexico in June. We are very excited about going home!

News from the Field

I received a phone call from Bro. Rafa telling me that the little building at the church in Aguascalientes had been broken into. The thieves stole all of the church lawn equipment and some office equipment as well. They were unable to get into the maintenance room where the generator and pumps are stored and so Bro. Rafa was sure to take those things home with them until the building could be secured again.

I asked him what I needed to do to help them and he told me that the men of the church had already met and the problem with securing the building had been solved. Praise the Lord for that! I was pleased that they did not wait to hear from me before taking action. The men of the church are stepping up and taking responsibility for their church.

Bro. Rafael and Bro. Rafa have reported souls are being saved and baptized and that there are some new men excited about joining the Bible Institute when we return. A children's church in Camdenton, Missouri has taken our Sunday School program in Aguascalientes for a special project. They are raising money to build a Sunday School palapa (pavilion) to be used for the junior church during good weather. This will be a great blessing during the summer months while we are continuing to raise funds for and later build the Sunday School building. Please pray with us about the building needs.
