Dear Praying Friends,

We are writing this letter from Jacksonville, Arkansas!
Thank you for praying for travel mercies -- we arrived in
Jacksonville on Wednesday, September 12th and we've been on
the run ever since!
Thank you for praying for Lindsey's first surgery that was
on September 14th. We are very pleased to report that the
surgery was a success! Her doctor stated that she is doing
remarkably well for the extent of her injuries. Her
airways are
completely open and her scars have healed nicely. He was
able to do some scar revision that will cover up almost all
evidence of her having had a trach. The only thing he was
unable to "fix" was her left vocal chord. He said there is
just not enough left to work with. He said that with time
(and prayers) there is a possibility that the vocal chord
will start to build upon itself and then he will be able to
help with the voice quality. He is planning to do another
revisional surgery in February to see if there has been any
change. Though her voice has a low, raspy quality to it -
she is able to be heard (just ask her brothers!), and it
seems that her voice is getting stronger daily. We praise
the Lord that her airways are wide-open and that we seem to
be on the downhill side of things!
We appreciate those that have called and asked about
Lindsey. We certainly appreciate your prayers. We are
thankful to those that have helped by sending special
monies for our trip and to help toward our deductibles and
other medical
expenses.

7th Anniversary Revival in Aguascalientes
Bro. Doyle Johnson (missionary in Monterrey, Mexico) and
his wife, Dixie, were with us to celebrate the Faith Bible
Baptist Church of Aguascalientes seventh anniversary. We
praise the Lord for the great attendance, the souls that
were saved
and baptized and for the many visitors who attended.
Several of the visitors who attended the revival have
continued to attend
the services and have been saved.
Ofelia is a 74-year old lady who lives close to the church
property. She has "watched" us for several years now as we
have come and gone for the services. Each time we have
invited her she has said, "Not today". Praise the Lord
that on one of the days we invited her she said "Okay,
today is the day". She came and trusted Christ as her
Saviour! Since that time she has brought two of her
daughters to "hear" what she heard and also her husband.
They have also accepted Christ! Ofelia was baptized the
Sunday that we left for furlough. What a sweet spirit this
lady has and what a blessing she has already been to her
church.

Bro. Rafael and Bro. Rafael - II Timothy 2:2
It gives me great joy to report that during this furlough
our works have been left in the capable hands of our own
men! Bro. Rafael Ibarra de León will continue to be "in
charge" of the work in La Labor and Bro. Rafael Ibarra
Bernal will continue to be "in charge" of the work in San
Pancho. Together they will work in the main church in
Aguascalientes. Both men are good soul winners and able
preachers. I have been in contact with them several times
already and they have both stated that souls are being
saved and we are have regular visitors in the services.
Ain't God good?! Please be in prayer for them during this
time.
