Furlough News
Wow! What a busy few months! The Lord has been good to
the Copeland family! We have traveled more than 6,000
miles and through nine states in these few months! It’s
been exciting to be in churches that have continued to
“stay by the stuff” and “kept on keeping on!” The Lord has
allowed us to see several folks saved:

In Texas, we led a Mexican lady to the Lord whose children
ride the church bus. She accepted Christ while
we were on visitation and then attended services the
following day. Praise the Lord!

In Colorado Springs, Colorado, I had part in seeing a man
saved whose family had been praying for his
salvation for many years. Since that time, Bro. Piña has
been in contact with me and said that he has been baptized
and become involved in a good, Independent Baptist church!
Praise the Lord!

In California, Andrew and I were able to see several folks
saved while on visitation. Praise the Lord! We
also came in contact with several Mexican nationals who are
pastoring good, mission-hearted churches - what a privilege
it was to spend some time with these men.

In New Mexico, the Lord burdened one of the church members
to work out a way for us to get a 15-passenger van for the
work in Aguascalientes! Praise the Lord! We’re working on
getting it into Mexico during the month of January. The
preachers there are excited about the Lord’s provision and
ready to put the van to use!

II Timothy 2:2 at Work
When Dr. Roy Harris was our pastor he taught us that in
order to be a success in the ministry we must study our
ministry and then we must “lead leaders in order to work
ourselves out of a job”. He claimed II Timothy 2:2 as his
ministry verse and I’ve claimed it as mine.

When we left Aguascalientes for our furlough in September,
we left the ministry in the capable hands of Bro. Rafael
Ibarra de León (Bro. Rafa) and his father Bro. Rafael
Ibarra Bernal. Both men are good soul winners and able
preachers. I have stayed in almost weekly contact with
these men and they are EXCITED about what the Lord is doing
in the works! So excited in fact that they have started a
new mission! In conversation with them, they were telling
me that they had won a couple to the Lord from a small
village named La
Luz. They began going into the village holding Bible
studies with that couple. Later, when the couple began
bringing visitors they had to move to a carport to hold the
crowd – so, in conversation with me they asked if it would
be okay to hang a sign and call it “La Misión Biblica
Bautista de la Fe” en la Luz - “Faith Bible Baptist
Mission” of La Luz! Praise the Lord! That’s the way it
works!!

They have also baptized several people and are seeing folks
saved regularly in Aguascalientes, La Labor and San Pancho.
They have reported that there have been visitors attending
the services and that the church people, as a whole, are
being faithful and growing spiritually. THANK YOU for
helping to make these things possible!
